They’re left, and socialist’s how they're regarded

Layton’s the leader and you know his wife’s an MP too

Olivia Chow’s her name and they say she’s best at what she do

Bust it

NDP stands for fixing healthcare and our civic pride
reducing poverty and they give our gay friends high fives

There’d be no tax breaks for the big corporate companies

And the environment’s at the forefront where it oughta be

Their platform calls for taking all the practical steps first

Bring doctors home and we will pay them what they’re really worth

Strengthening pensions, work with province retirement savings

They wanna see you work and kickstart the economy

How many people out there know just what I'm gettin' at

Who’s not sure where their vote is going, this is where it’s at

It’s NDP and now you know, you must down with it

They wanna cap cards fees and keep heating tax federal free

They’d like ta give consumers control over cell phone bills

Let’s clean up Ottawa and work the minority thing out

Let’s commit to getting things done and stop the scandals now
